First post...

Looks like a new site that has a lot of potential.

I'm a local San Diegan, my name is Tim, I have an 05 Mustang GT equipped with a Whipple SC.  Any other GT owners here?

I live in La Mesa, about 10 minutes from you guys.

Where do I buy parts?

Oh geez, where do I start....

Mostly internet to avoid tax. Whipple came from Lethal Performance.  Body parts came from all over the country.  Side skirts are Saleen, Chin spoiler is CDC, Side scoops are Xenon, Hood is Shelby CS 6, Spoiler is 2000 Cobra R, rear valance is Street Scene as is the upper front grille...There's a ton of stuff I've bought from whomever had the best prices and free shipping.  Hey, I'm on a  budget, right?  LOL  Some parts are one-off hand made parts by me.  Example: the lower fog light housings-Hand made fiberglass mated to the stock fascia.  If you can't find the part, MAKE the part!

Yeah, a little goes a long ways!  The SC was all black and it needed a little color so I painted the recesses (ribs).  While I had the topside apart, I went ahead and did the valve covers.

The stripes on the car were done by me as well.  I buy vinyl in bulk, usually 24" in width and then cut the stripes with an Xacto knife, steel yardstick and a LONG table.  These stripes are 22" wide in the center section with a 1" gap on both sides and a 1" wide stripe on both sides.  Total cost: About $70 plus several hours to do it.  A spray bottle of soapy water, a credit card for a squeegee and patience is all it takes.  Removal is easy with the wife's hair dryer or a heat gun.  The compund curves are the hardest.  Sometimes you feel like you're wrapping a basketball in Saran wrap and trying NOT to have any wrinkles! Ugh!

I just couldn't leave it all black.
