I've heard tons of mechanics call them Exploders because well, yeah, their trannys like to grenade all the time.  I've watched several of my friends own them and have to replace their transmissions multiple times. Hopefully my Ranger tranny lasts!

I used to have 1990 explorer and I had to replace my transmission every year for 3 years Cheesy I didn't get rid off it till 2 years ago because I loved the 4wheel drive and how comfortable that eddie baurer was.
